What a wonderful, kind and patient teacher - Our results are excellent, even for a beginner!!  Thankyou  Mary - UK

Taking class is such fun and a good painting to take home with me.  Sue Grant - UK

Hi Sue....Thanks once again for a brilliant day.  Had a quick look at your Video...very professional....  Liz - UK

Hi Sue, Attached are a couple of paintings I did (from the DVD).  I am not one for painting regular trees so I did one with and one without the front trees.  Bill got home from work and took a look, he liked both of them.  I loved the painting and it was fun to do.  Margie - USA

Sue, I got your DVD yesterday. There was so much I wanted to say that I had to make a list. You were so in-depth with your instructions. I love the way you did your sun reflections in the water. Using the liner brush to do the tree branches saves you from having to pick up another tool.  The way you painted the water reflections was neat also. The tree limbs looked real the way you painted them. I love the cat tails at the front of the lake. I feel like it made the painting. I think your idea to put the frame on the painting is fantastic. Your camera man is really good. I liked the music also. I can’t wait for the next one.  Pam - USA

Hi Sue, this is the first time I have had a chance to visit you site. Great work!! I can see why you are having such fun painting. Keep up the great work......Dominick  DePaolo - USA

Hi Sue, I have got my DVD today and already watched it to the end. I am really impressed!! Very professional!! Thanks for doing this for us. There are so many useful hints for beginners and also advanced painters. Easy to follow. I guess you will recieve a lot of "Golden Lakes" in the near future including from me. Where is the next one ???????   Helga Dee ACI - Austria

Let me start by saying that  the DVD's I have bought over the internet and from various art dealer stores and wasted my money on over the past year, and I have learnt absolutely nothing from, there suddenly appears for sale one, that was made by, not only an artist, but a teacher, who can teach, knowing the dificulties a beginner faces.  Lee - UK

Thanks for the DVD - well done.  It arrived on Saturday and I did the picture yesterday and will take a photo later today and send you my version.  Took me about 4 hours as I had all the set up to prepare !  Pam - UK

Hello there, Have just received 'Golden Lake' DVD in the post and have watched about half of it so far. Can't wait to have a go at painting, but thought I'd watch it through first. Brilliant! Love it! One question though, so far, you don't seem to have used any painting medium/thinners/etc., or anything similar. Is this usual for you? Or just this particular painting for some reason? Hope you don't mind me asking. Regards, Margaret - UK

Couldn't go to bed, sat and watched all the way through till after midnight....learnt new techniques, nose to heel eh....put a bit of drama into the scene..getting some Ayoubisms already in me head, and when Sue asks for a close up and the corner picture floats in, what neat idea and great editing..in fact technically the editing is so professional...I know these are just gonna fly. As time went on we are advised to go put the kettle on and i always felt thats why Bobs were so good, he made you his friend instantly and his stories and anedotes he shared with you during the lesson. Noticed Bill's later dvd's Im now watching, he became more friendlier and often sang as he went along...makes me smile now! Not that I'm suggesting Sue burst into a chouras of 'Hey students, leave the teacher alone' but how about an opening with Sue feeding the clucks before she goes into the studio....think be brill...
Gotta say again though Sue and Alan... F A N T A S T I C job for first timers.  Davy - UK

Hello sue, I would like to thank you and Allan, for the great dvd.  I have been watching it, in that time, I have learnt so much, you make it so much easier,  being unable to go to your art classes, this has really helped me.  Firstley I was using far too much paint, the way you apply, the paint and hi lights and low lights are fantastic, a very big thankyou, you have made me feel positive to keep trying. Love Lou R. - UK

Yes it's arrived and it's just getting to the end. Well done Sue and Alan, a really great effort and outcome. A good choice of image - bright and eye catching. How did you manage to allow the viewer to see the work/action at all times? Every other dvd I've seen, there has always been great ingenuity used to try to accomplish this ... at the most difficult bit you just edited to a zoomed window. So simple but so effective. Loved those sunlit streaks down the trees ... It looks lovely on my TV here next to the 'pooter. It does DVD's and I can alter the aspect ratio to best fit the content. I thought I had got the latter bit wrong but then realised the full extent of the new eating regime had had to result in that tall slim artist, cheers Jim - UK

Sue, relax !!!  You have nothing to fear.  Just had a viewing of the dvd, in between coughs and sneezing, the first impression is just BRILLIANT.   :-)  Tom - UK

I have been working for a few hours with your new DVD and am so,so pleased with the results I have so far, I may send you a pic of it when it's completed and I am happy with it.  Well done to you both. and thank you, looking forward to the next.  Cheers.  Shirley - UK

A good re-introduction, especially clear directions from Sue.  A great day away from 'it all' and in good company.  Thankyou.  Pamela - UK
